Hello families! We had a busy week and completed a lot of fun learning activities! Prepare for a lot of photos! In science, we started talking about colour mixing. We tried the "Walking Waters" experiment, created secondary and tertiary colours using Playdoh and used paint to make tints and shades! In social studies, we continued developing our geographical thinking skills. We continued learning about the rest of the Canadian provinces and territories. We learned about Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Yukon Territories, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. We watched the Canada Road Trip series for each province and territory. In addition, we watched a video about life in Iqaluit and we watched a throat singing performance by an Inuit band called The Jerry Cans. We have plans to make our own classroom flag and classroom Land Acknowledgment after Spring Break. Our "Minute to Win It" challenge this week was called "Pool Sharks." Students had to lay on t...
