October 2-6
Hello families, Here's an update from this week! Math We started the week looking at the calendar for October! Students wrote/drew about the special days in October and brought their calendars home to help keep them organized! We also learned about symmetry. The kids LOVED this song and were able to choose how explore symmetry with blocks, drawing, or dry erase. We learned a math game called "Knockout" which helps students with subitizing and addition fact automaticity. On Friday we learned about tally marks and did a "roll and tally" activity. Here's a link to the Knockout game - it's really simple and can be played at home (sorry the site has quite a few ads!) In literacy, we reviewed the letters N, O, D, U and G using UFLI and Animated Literacy. I'll add a video of all the Animated Literacy actions for you to use at home!
