April 25-29

Hi Families,

Here's a bit of a late blog post from last week!

In math, we continued talking about addition and subtraction. We played an Earth Day math game and continued our work with balancing equations. We also used ten frames for addition and subtraction to 10 to help students see the relationship between addition and subtraction.

In science we are still looking at structural adaptations in animals. We looked at the different ways that birds use feathers as well as different animal shells.

We continued with our Me on the Map book and students will be bringing them home this week to share. We also learned about a Sit Spot and enjoyed some time in the garden sketching from our chosen sit-spots.

We have enough volunteers for our zoo field trip on June 9th but could still use some more for our in-class learning experience with Teacher's Pet on the afternoon of June 2nd. Please let me know if you're interested in helping out!
